Foreign Teachers of CCNU: We Love Wuhan!
At the crucial time of epidemic prevention and control of novel coronavirus pneumonia, many foreign teachers in CCNU gave up returning to their home country and chose to stay in Wuhan. They share the same belief that China is invincible, Wuhan is invincible.
Sandy Pecastaing
Sandy is from France. She has been working in CCUN for three years and a half. She says, “Since I came to China and began to work here, I have already fallen in love with my students, my job and CCNU.”
Faced with the spread of virus, Sandy is very calm and has given up the opportunity of going back. She has been living in the Foreign Experts Building since the winter vacation, during which period she stays inside as required. She plans to prepare the teaching plans for the new semester and do some research.
“As a member of CCNU, we should be like other Chinese teachers, and fight against the virus together. I believe that Chinese government and Chinese people can definitely win this battle.”

American teacher David has been living and working in Wuhan since 2015. He appeals to the public for treating Wuhan in a sensible way. In his blog he writes,“I've come to love Wuhan and its people. I was even preparing to return this semester in tourism management when news of the virus emerged.”
A bridge of friendship was built between scholars at home and abroad. Together, we can make a difference. We hope to see the virus come under control and all CCNUers reunion on the campus.
